There is nothing cuter than seeing a dog dressed up exactly like its owner. However, having the money to dress your pooch up might be a little tricky when money is tight. Here are a few tips on how to dress your dog and stay within budget.

Check out garage sales and second-hand stores. Often times you might not find what you are looking for, but every once in a while you might run into someone else who is a pet enthusiast.

Compare prices from one store to the next and check out stores that offer coupons or weekly sales. A really great way to save money is to make sure that you are paying the lowest price for your pet costumes.

Buy things online. Buying pet costumes online is a great way to save money. Often you will pay less than retail value and it will be shipped right to your door.

Sell old clothing that your pet does not wear. If your pet does not wear the clothes, it might be a good idea to place an ad online. This could bring in money to buy new clothing later.

Trade clothing with friends. If you have a friend or friends who also love to dress their pets up, it could be worth while to trade clothing. This will give you the sleek ability to appear as if you have a lot of outfits without the cost that comes with the clothes.

For many people, having an aquarium to love and take care of is something that they are very good at and take pride in. However, there are some people who don’t know how to take care of fish in aquariums and end up with a tank full of diseased, or even deceased, fish. Owning an aquarium is not very difficult if you know how to do it correctly.

Image via Wikipedia

Picking the correct size for a fish tank is very important. Some fish need a lot of open space to swim around and get exercise. Other fish need very little space and don’t like being in a tank which is too big. Choosing a stand for the aquarium to sit on is just as important as the aquarium itself. Filled tanks can weigh a lot and need a sturdy stand. If a stand is not strong enough to hold the tank, it could break and cause damage to the aquarium and the fish inside.

Every kind of fish has needs which affect what goes in the tank and what stays out. Aquariums need to have some kind of rocks or gravel to cover the floor. Gravel helps to hold down plant decorations, conceal filter parts, and hide waste. Plants, whether plastic or living, and other decorations, help to calm the fish and look good in the tank. If you need more options, accessories or decor, go to http://www.ebayclassifieds.com/ and do a quick search of these things.

Owning an aquarium is simple if you know how to fill it correctly. By understanding how to correctly own and operate an aquarium, the fish inside the aquarium will be healthier and happier and will be around longer for you to enjoy.

Now that you have an aquarium filled with gravel, plants, decorations, water conditioner, and water, you are ready to decide which fish to put inside. Each fish has different needs and these needs must be considered when purchasing fish. Some types of fish are very compatible with other types while other fish need to be alone. Read this article to help you choose the right fish for your aquarium.

Image via Wikipedia

Fish Sizes

Picking fish similar in size is important when getting fish to fill a tank. In general, fish are likely to eat anything which can fit in their mouth, including gravel, smaller fish, and even their own young. By making sure that the fish inside your aquarium will grow to be about the same size, you ensure that your fish will stick around and not be eaten.

Care Requirements

When deciding which fish to put in your tank, you should consider what kind and how much care’s needed for the fish. For example, it would be a bad idea to pair salt water fish with freshwater fish because it would be impossible to care for both of them. Other factors include water temperature, pH, and amount and type of feeding. In order to avoid having problems with your aquarium, keep the care requirements in mind.

Determining which fish and how many fish to put in your aquarium is not an impossible task. By bearing in mind the size of fish, the amount of fish, and care requirements for the fish, you can have a tank full of happy and healthy fish.

Some people think that cats do not need to have baths. While they are generally very clean animals, there are some occasions that warrant the need. For instance, if your cat has gotten into a mess, like oil or paint, and is unable to clean himself. It is also a good idea to give your cat a bath every once in a while to deep clean his fur. This will help him feel better and keep up his cleanliness more easily.

Image via Wikipedia

Bathing your cat is a tricky business. The following are the steps in the process.

Step 1: Clip your cat’s claws or file them down so they are not so sharp. This will help protect you from scratches during the bath.

Step 2: Run three or four inches of water in your bath tub. Make sure it is not too hot or too cold.

Step 3: Make sure you have towels, shampoo, and a cup nearby.

Step 4: Place your cat gently in the water by holding the back of his neck and supporting the feet.

Step 5: Talk soothingly to your cat to attempt to calm him down. This works better on some cats than others, and you might end up wrestling with your cat the whole time.

Step 6: Hold your cat with one hand and use a cup to get him wet. Cats have natural oils that repel water, so this step can take a while.

Step 7: Massage shampoo into his fir, avoiding the eyes and ears. You should use a shampoo make especially for cats or something very gentle.

Step 8: Rinse the shampoo out with water thoroughly.

Step 9: Pat your cat dry with a towel.

Step 10: Use a blow dryer to avoid a licking frenzy after the bath.

Don’t feel bad about giving your cat a bath. It is what a good pet owner should do. You should reward your cat when you are done with a good rub and some treats.
